who is ben marino?

Born and raised in Allendale, NJ, Ben Marino grew up in a musical home. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with dual degrees in drum set performance and music education. Following graduation, he traveled to over 45 different countries and 5 continents working on Seabourn Luxury Cruise Ships. In 2013-2014, he was the on-stage drummer for Green Day's American Idiot The Broadway Musical, 3rd National Tour (U.S. and Canada).

LIVE: Ben has contributed to live performances and recordings with: Blood Orange, Carly Rae Jepsen, Nelly Furtado, Eric Krasno, Empress Of, among many others.  In addition, he has shared the platform with Worship/Contemporary Christian Music leaders such as Martin Smith (Delirious), Brooke Ligertwood, Paul Baloche, Israel Houghton, Reuben Morgan, Nigel Hendroff, Hillsong Worship, and Hillsong Kids, among others.

STUDIO: Ben is a well-versed studio session musician and has worked with world-class producers and engineers such as Susan Rogers (Prince, Barenaked Ladies), James Saez (Michael Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, Madonna), Ted Paduck (Aerosmith, NSync, Run DMC, Erika Badu), George Massenburg (Earth, Wind & Fire, Billy Joel, inventor of the Parametric EQ), and Jun Murakawa (Nine Inch Nails, John Mellencamp), among others.

PRODUCTION: Ben is an active and passionate producer of his own music as well as bringing other artists songs come to life! Ben’s musical compositions can be heard on TV shows such as Wheeler Dealers, Deadly Recall, and Welcome to Plathville, among others.

CURRENTLY: Ben resides in New Jersey and currently works as the Worship Director at Evangel Church in Scotch Plains, NJ, where he and his family attend, serve and trust Jesus with their lives. He is actively songwriting, producing, and recording.
